Ceramic coating

Protect your car with the brightest and most resistant ceramic coating available on the public market.

Now easy to remove even in hot and humid climates.

The next evolution of ceramic coating technology is here! CQuartz UK is recognized worldwide for being the most resistant ceramic coating available to the general public. At the level of many products from other brands only available to professionals, CQuartz UK is the choice of enthusiasts around the world, however CarPro is not a brand that waits for others to reach its level, instead it has improved CQuartz UK even more! The new and improved CQuartz UK 3.0 is characterized by easy application in all climates!

In real-world testing we found that CQuartz UK persists beyond the competition in side-by-side "torture" tests under the same conditions. One of the many reasons we continue to offer CQuartz as our line of choice in ceramic coatings is our dedication to innovation and the simple but very important fact that CarPro continues to tell us and you the truth and bases its advertising capabilities on reality. .

CQuartz UK 3.0 offers incredible resistance to chemicals, salts and environmental damage as well as excellent protection from UV rays! The high silica content of quartz creates a hard glazed layer on paint or gelcoat surfaces. CQuartz UK adds an incredible level of depth to the paintwork as well as unbelievable water and dirt repellency in addition to its resistance measured in years!

Surfaces that can be protected with CQuartz:

  • Metals

Preparation advice:

  • If there is contamination, it is recommended to use IronX and a clay bar before polishing the vehicle.
  • To get the most out of CQuartz it is recommended to have your vehicle decontaminated and polished to a high level before application.
  • Use CarPro Reflect to achieve an unbelievably glossy finish in less time and with zero fillers.
  • Use the CarPro Eraser to remove any oils or polish residue from the paintwork - This step is critical to ensure the durability of the Cquartz.
  • We recommend, to remove excess coating, use CarPro 2Face 40x40cms microfiber cloths
  • We recommend having extra 10x10cm "suede" cloths available if applying more than one layer

Determine the ideal height to level ("wipe off") the excess coating applied to the flash point:

  • Start with a small test section measuring 60x60cms to determine the flash period before applying to the entire car. The flash period will vary with temperature, humidity, air movement, type of paint, amount of product applied...
  • If applied too much then the coating will take longer to flash. Applying little will achieve the flash faster. High temperatures flash faster, low temperatures take longer. Air movement will cause the flash to flash faster.
  • When you start to reach the flash point you will start to see colors that resemble the "rainbow" effect. You will see touches of blue, purple, red and yellow.
  • Removing too soon will feel oily and without resistance to the movement of the cloth. If you remove the coating too soon, it will not have enough time to structurally fix itself to the paint.
  • Removing too late makes it difficult to move the cloth
  • The ideal time for removal is when you feel a slight resistance in dragging the cloth and without the sensation of "oily" movement. It may leave some drag marks from the cloth but a second pass with an unused part of the cloth should remove them and the paint should be clean.
  • Lighting - Lighting is essential to ensure that excess removal was done well. You should not use spotlights located in one spot, such as when polishing, but use good ambient light. Observe the painting from different angles to ensure that there are no uncoated areas. Localized lights also tend to fade the high points of the coating. Think of it like this: with sealants, when you remove them, you have hours to go outside and see in sunlight or other lighting sources. In this case you have to pay attention as you go instead of waiting for an hour. Methodical removal of excess coating is necessary as any additional product left on the surface will harden and polishing will be necessary to remove it.
  • CQuartz UK 3.0 - Depending on the environment in which you are applying it, it can become difficult to remove within 2 to 4 minutes. It can become sticky and/or super sticky and will stain and leave scuff marks.
  • High spots ("high spots"). A high point is excess coating that has not been removed/leveled ("wipe-off"). Most of the time it will look like an application mark. If you discover them within minutes then a little more product will correct the spot. Otherwise, you can use a drop of finishing polish such as Essence or Reflect and rub the high point to disappear, then clean with the Eraser and re-apply the coating in that area and around 15 cm. So immediately start removing it around the perimeter and slowly moving towards the center to soften the coating until you reach the area you are trying to re-apply.

Instructions: Only apply in good ambient lighting

  • Wrap the applicator with 1 of the small "suede" cloths.
  • Shake the CQuartz UK packaging.
  • Open the packaging slowly and place a line of product on the applicator.
  • Spread on the surface in a crisscross pattern (first horizontally, then vertically) in an area of approximately 60x60cms.
  • Using the larger "suede" cloth or a CarPro 2Face cloth, clean the surface as soon as it reaches the flash point (between 2 and 5 min).
  • Make sure you have removed all excess and only then should you move on to the next section.
  • Change the cloth on the applicator every 2 - 3 panels.
  • Additional layers can be applied between 45-60 minutes or wait until the next day if 60 minutes have passed. CarPro recommends 2 coats. Maximum 3 layers.
  • Apply Reload after the last section 30 to 60 minutes. Wait for the next day if 60 minutes or at least 12 hours have passed.

Instructions after application:

  • Keep the surface free of any water for the first hour (for best results keep it dry for at least the first 24 hours).
  • Gently and immediately wipe off any water from the surface within the first 24 hours after application.
  • Do not wash the car with shampoos or other products for the first 7 days.
  • If the weather is dry and the air is clean, place the car in direct sunlight to speed up curing.

Maintenance:

  • Use CarPro Reset shampoo for regular washes. Any other shampoo leaves residues that will impede the coating's capabilities and thus lack the water repellency effect, allowing dust and dirt to attach more easily to the surface.
  • Washing mitt: The CarPro Hand wash mitt is recommended for cars with regular use as it is easy to maintain, durable and washes more easily. For cars with extremely "soft" paintwork or if the car doesn't get very dirty then CarPro's Wool Wash Mitt is recommended.
  • Do not wash the car with shampoos or other products for the first 7 days.
  • Quick washes (Quik Detailing): Ech2o and the CarPro BOA 6040 cloth (you will need 3 to 6 cloths).
  • Occasionally (every 3 to 6 months) decontaminate the surface with CarPro Iron-X. Use it in the wash cycle (after Reset) and following the instructions.
  • If using Reload as an additional top coat: use it every 3-6 months, for special occasions or whenever desired.

Precautions:

  • Do not apply in direct sunlight or on hot surfaces.
  • Do not reuse the smaller “suede” cloths, discard them.
  • Do not reuse the cloths you used to remove excess after application.
  • Use protective gloves.
  • Avoid breathing vapors and use suitable respiratory protection.
