Ceramic coating

Ceramic coating is currently known around the world as the most durable form of protection for paint and other surfaces. It guarantees the highest level of protection and a hardness much higher than the hardest varnishes. After being applied to the painting surface, it creates a transparent and invisible layer 2 to 3 micrometers thick, thanks to which the painting is completely isolated from the effects of all external factors.

Benefits

K2 GRAVON protects the surface from scratches, dirt, UV rays, gravel, bird droppings, rain and tree sap, insect remains, corrosion and mechanical damage, caused, for example, by stone impacts. It also protects against the appearance of defects due to reduced shine, especially circular scratches exposed to sunlight. Thanks to the ceramic coating, there is no need to wax the vehicle. Furthermore, due to its excellent dirt-repellent and self-cleaning properties, the need to wash the vehicle can also be reduced. In contrast to waxes, ceramic coating cannot be removed with chemical agents, so it is the most stable way known to protect surfaces. The only way to remove the coating is with machine polishing. This coating also protects against graffiti, as the paint does not stick to the surface and can be easily removed.

Application:

K2 GRAVON coating can be applied not only to paintwork, but also to rubber, plastic, metal and glass. It can be highly recommended for various automobiles, yachts, aviation and industrial applications.

Instructions

Optimal application conditions:

1. Surface temperature between 10-35°C
2. Apply indoors or in shady areas
3. Do not apply in conditions of excessive humidity.

Surface preparation:

1. Clean and dry the paint well.
2. The painting surface must be free from tar, dirt, wax, oil and the manufacturer's original protection. Use the K2 CLAY BAR to remove any residual dirt on the microelements of the paint.
3. Paint defects and scratches must be polished, using, for example, a polishing machine and K2 LUSTER polishing pastes.

Application:

1. Before applying the ceramic coating, completely degrease the paintwork using K2 KLINET degreaser and K2 BONA microfiber.
2. Shake the bottle well and apply 6 to 8 drops onto a dry towel that covers the applicator.
3. Apply in a criss-cross motion on a surface no larger than 50x50cm at a time.
4. Let the coating act for 1 to 2 minutes, at a temperature of approximately 20 ºC, and then wipe the surface with a microfiber cloth (a higher temperature will reduce the drying time, a lower temperature will increase it). Do not let the coating dry on the paint.
5. After finishing the first coat, wait at least 1 hour and apply the next layer (for maximum hardness, applying 3 layers is recommended).
6. Optionally, after finishing the last layer, K2 GRAVON RELOAD can be applied for additional slip and color depth.

After using:

1. Leave the car preferably in a closed, dry environment for a minimum of 8 hours.
2. Do not wash the car with any chemical components for the next 7 days.
3. For regular coating maintenance (every 3-6 months), the use of K2 GRAVON RELOAD is recommended.
